SABIO requires that all beekeepers are registere. Please use the documents below to register with SABIO.
In terms of paragraph 5 of Regulation 1674 as published in Government Gazette No 6388 dated 24 December 1998 as addendum to the Agricultural Pests Act (Act 36 of 1983), anybody who owns or is in control of a colony of honeybees in SA is regarded as a beekeeper and is legally required among others to register with the nominated institution behalf of the Directorate: Plant Health by submitting name and address. A registration number will then be allocated to the beekeeper.  Constitution
